Business & Operations Manager

The Missouri Association of Counties (MAC) is looking to employ someone who is forward thinking with attention to detail and the ability to connect in person and online. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to multitask and evolve in an ever-changing work environment. To ensure success, candidates should be innovative, organized, and self-motivated.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and prepare financial reports and bank reconciliations for the Missouri Association of Counties, Workers’ Compensation Trust and County Commissioners Association of Missouri
Work on end-of-year financial audits for all associations
Monitor the investments of the associations
Prepare association’s annual budget with executive director and executive board
Generate payroll and submit payroll taxes bi-weekly and prepare and submit quarterly reports to state and federal reporting agencies. Prepare end-of-year W2’s and 1009’s
Prepare, process and maintain all accounts payable and banking deposits and records for the associations
Facilitate and maintain insurance policies of the staff and property of the association
Calculate membership dues for member counties
Maintain all personnel files for staff and manage office services necessary to operate
Candidate requirements:
Education and job experience in business administration and/or accounting with at least four or more years of experience working in finance, investments, accounts payable or accounting required
Background knowledge of accounting principles and business management
Meticulous attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
Computer literate with understanding in Microsoft Office software and Sage Accounting Software with the potential to learn new software when needed
